AML Scaffolding of Cardiff and UK System Scaffold Hire proved to be the perfect team to deliver the access ramps for athletes at the 2023 Wheelchair Rugby European Championship at the Principality Stadium.
The ramp was an impressive 56 metres long and 5 metres wide and enabled wheelchair users to move between the concourse level of the stadium and pitch level.
At its highest, the ramp rose 4 metres above the terrace seating and – to comply with public access legislation - featured rest platforms at 10 metre intervals along the ramp.
Haki is one of the very few scaffold systems that enable you to build ramps which are fully compliant with public access legislation and are the perfect solution when providing temporary public access for shops and public buildings as well as for sporting and entertainment venues.
As proved at the Principality Stadium, ramps can be designed to rise to any challenge and can be adapted to accommodate space length and shape limitations and are available in a range of surface finishes and with a range of cladding and handrail options.
