HAKI ROOF PROVES ITS WORTH ON THE IRISH COAST

Ardgillan Castle boasts one of the most spectacular locations of any country house in Ireland - overlooking the Irish Sea with views northward to the Mourne Mountains.

However, its exposed location meant that when McCrory Access were tasked with the design, supply and erection of scaffolding for the Castle’s restoration they had to be confident that the temporary roof could withstand the very worst that the Irish weather could throw at it.

McCrory Access specified a Haki Temporary Roof and once again chose UKSSH to supply roof components and sheeting.

Ardgillan Castle is the latest in a number of prestige products in which McCrory Access has collaborated with UKSSH.

As Spencer Attle, Senior Contracts Manager at McCrory Access explains: “Haki is the most weatherproof system available: Hakitec’s offset beam and track joints ensure a robust and watertight seal, holding the lightweight but ultra-durable PVC coated polyester fabric firmly in place. The Haki system has the additional advantage that its sturdy yet remarkably open superstructure provides a clutter free work environment”.

Gary Griffiths, MD of UK System Scaffold Hire comments: “For prestigious projects where quality is the prime consideration, distance is really no object: We’re proud to say that UKSSH has a nationwide, indeed international, reputation in the industry and clients appreciate both our reliability and the expertise that we can bring to major schemes”.
