UKSSH AND CS SCAFFOLD CONTRACTS PROVE A FLEXIBLE APPROACH IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS

UKSSH’s supply of a Haki temporary roof to CS Scaffold Contracts for their project at the Head Quarters of Vitsoe, the furniture company who are legendary sustainability pioneers, served to reinforce some of the key benefits of a Haki roof, but also dispelled some of the myths which have surrounded Haki systems.

The roof – an impressive 50 metres long by 26 metres wide, consisting of both 3.05 metre bays and 300mm bays between truss lines (to reduce the clear span) delivered exactly as expected: Proving yet again to be the most weatherproof system available: Hakitec’s offset beam and track joints ensuring a robust and watertight seal. The sturdy yet remarkably open superstructure also provided the open, clutter free work environment that was required.

However, it was the structure supporting the roof that helped to dispel some of the myths surrounding Haki system scaffold.

Creator Scaffold Design were tasked with using as much of CS Scaffold Contracts own stock as possible. Their solution was to integrate CS Scaffolds own beams into the design and to support the roof on CS Scaffolds own stock of Cuplock.

The project proved just how extremely versatile Haki products are and how, with skilful design, they can be incorporated in schemes that utilise not only tube and fittings, but also other scaffold systems.

The other myth that was dispelled by the project was the fact that CS Scaffold Contracts decided to buy – not hire - their Haki roof from UKSSH: Despite UK System Scaffold Hire’s full name, UKSSH is equally happy to sell or hire their equipment.

As UKSSH’s MD, Gary Griffiths says “flexibility is the key to success, and that principle applies as much to whether we sell or hire our products (or combine the two) as it does to how we meet our customers requirements in the design and supply of the scaffold.”
