LEE MARLEY SCAFFOLDING DELIVERS FIRST-CLASS TEMPORARY ROOF STRUCTURE AT ST CATHERINE’S COLLEGE, OXFORD

We were proud to support Lee Marley Scaffolding on their outstanding project at St Catherine’s College, Oxford, where we supplied the Haki Temporary Roof system.

Following the identification of Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) in several roof structures, access to parts of the College was restricted to ensure safety. In response, the Lee Marley Scaffolding team engineered and delivered a complex temporary roof and scaffold access solution, facilitating safe remediation works while preserving the integrity of the historic site.

To protect the Grade I listed buildings, the entire roof structure was designed as a completely free-standing system, secured using substantial kentledge. Due to the extreme loads generated by the scaffold structure, the ground required structural reinforcement and the installation of load-bearing plate systems.
