The birdcage required for one industrial project was massive.

However, UKSSH helped devise an innovative design solution by utilising both Haki Universal and tube and fittings to provide a solution which reduced the amount of scaffold by over 70% compared with a more traditional birdcage.

The design linked two 9.5 metre tall Haki Universal birdcages to run in parallel along the centre of the 43 metre length of the building.

These provided the central support for 450 Haki Beams which spanned the 16 metre width of the building and which were supported by the external walls of the Victorian structure.

This provided the base from which scaffolders then punched up into the roof space using tube and fittings. The innovative design not only saved time, money and materials but also optimised the clear work areas that were available for the project.
