HAKI STAIR TOWERS SMALL CONTRIBUTION TO HISTORIC PROJECT

After eight years in the making the Thames Tideway Tunnel project (dubbed London’s super sewer) has been completed.

The Thames Tideway project is the most significant infrastructure project undertaken in London, creating a cleaner, healthier River Thames and enabling the capital’s sewer system to continue to serve London for at least the next 100 years.

Costing £5 billion, the Thames Tideway project has modernized London’s 150-year-old sewer system - originally built for a population less than half its current size - and will reduce untreated discharges into the River Thames by tens of millions of tons per year.

By any criteria, UKSSH’s involvement in the project is relatively small – that doesn’t mean that it isn’t significant!

UKSSH’s supplied four impressive Haki stair towers to Joseph Gallagher Ltd to provide access to and from formwork that was constructed as an integral part of the project.

It’s no wonder Haki site stair towers are the first choice for construction projects.

Every stair is erected using the advanced guard rail system providing a safe and efficient working environment.

Using genuine Haki components, site stair towers can be built to heights over 160 metres.

The unique Haki hook-on design increases the speed of erection.

Each stair tread and landing is non-slip and can be used across the range of stairs utilising existing components.
