UKSSH HELPS INTERFIX SCAFFOLDING RISE TO A UNIQUE SKYSCRAPER CHALLENGE
A quick look back to summer 2023 and our involvement in one of the more unusual projects of the year.
Interfix Scaffolding of London were tasked with creating the abseil platforms for the London Landmarks Skyscraper Challenge – and UKSSH were happy to supply Interfix with the equipment they needed to ensure that the event – the first of its kind in the world – would be as safe as it was exhilarating!
The event saw 800 adrenaline junkies climb 42 floors (that’s 1,096 steps) of the Leadenhall Building – better known as The “Cheesegrater” - before taking a 120 metre zipwire across to 30 St Mary Axe – aka “The Gherkin”.
The event raised around £1 million for Tommy's pregnancy and baby loss charity and other good causes.
