UKSSH is very familiar with supplying viewing platforms to historic buildings so that visitors get a close-up view of renovation projects and gain an insight into building techniques of a few hundred years ago, but Portway Scaffolding turned that experience on its head when they exploited the benefits of Haki Universal to help visitors get a birds eye view of a development even before a foundation had been laid.
Installed at the very beginning of the development process, the viewing platform - accessed by a Haki Public Access Stairtower – was adjacent to two portacabins on an otherwise empty site, providing not just a clear view of the site but also the ideal opportunity to get a clear view of how Haki Universal delivers a loading of 5kN/m2 while also delivering large open grid sizes which result in significant savings in components.
Using a fraction of the components needed for a comparable tube and fittings structure, Haki platforms are as durable and versatile as they are quick and economical to erect, achieving high loads and coping easily with various lift heights.
UKSSH’s expertise in Public Access Staircases, combined with their experience in supplying public viewing platforms, also meant that Portway Scaffolding had total confidence that the stand was fully compliant with all legal safety requirements.
