UKSSH AND FORMARK SCAFFOLDING SHOW THEIR PEDIGREE AT EPSOM
Epsom Downs on Derby Day welcomes over 100,000 people, making it one of the largest sporting events on the calendar.
It creates a great atmosphere, but can make getting a good vantage point a little challenging – unless you have the foresight to speak to Formark Scaffolding when you are planning your VIP Marquee.
This year, as in previous years, Formark has been commissioned to build a 3 metre high platform accessed by a public access staircase to elevate their client’s marquee above the crowds.
UKSSH worked with Formark to design and supply the platform and the staircases.
Mark Coote, Director of Formark Scaffolding says that the pedigree of Haki systems and UKSSH made them the clear favourite for the task: “Using a fraction of the components needed for a comparable tube and fittings structure, Haki platforms are as durable and versatile as they are quick and economical, achieving high loads and coping easily with various lift heights while invariably looking one of the smartest structures on the course”.
An additional benefit was UKSSH’s expertise in Public Access Staircases which meant that Formark Scaffolding had total confidence that the stand was fully compliant with all legal safety requirements and would behave impeccably even when excited punters were raising the roof.
