The Royal Norfolk Show is the largest two-day agricultural show in the country, with 80,000 visitors attending the show to see the 700 trade stands, over 3,000 animals, a packed Grand Ring programme, Norfolk’s biggest food and drink experience and hundreds of other attractions.
There is so much to see that a great vantage point is, in itself, an attraction – which is why Anglian Demolition and Asbestos approached UKSSH for their help in building a 10 metre high viewing platform as the centre piece of Anglian’s stand at the show.
Anglian Demolition and Asbestos used the viewing platform as a means of raising money for their chosen charity – an important part of their dynamic CSR programme.
Over 6,000 guests made the trip to the top of the tower to see the show. The whole construction took four men a total of three days to erect, but the hard work was completely worth it just to see the astonished faces of the public on approach. The tower really showcased what the team at Anglian are capable of and the impact they can have.
Anglian are raising funds for Priscilla Bacon Lodge, as they are part of their 500 Club, meaning they have committed to raising £10,000 before the end of 2023 to help the charity complete their all-new purpose-built hospice that will replace their current 40 year old building.
Wayne Sampson, Senior Scaffolding Commercial Manager at Anglian Demolition and Asbestos commented: “UKSSH was the obvious company to work with us on the project, both because of their expertise in supplying public access staircases, public viewing platforms and public access bridges and because the Haki system looks so neat – it was ideal as the centrepiece of our stand”.
Anglian Demolition and Asbestos is East Anglia’s leading contractor and has rapidly expanded over the last 15 years into multiple divisions which support the company’s work on a range of projects.
